Hello Everyone! Sure did enjoy talking to my friend Steve Shannon this morning over at KQFC. Sounds like despite the .....brrrrr!.....cold weather this weekend is going to be a fun warm-up to Valentines Day next week. Let's see what will get your blood pumping around the Valley.
1. Let's start the weekend before Valentines off at the SWEETHEART VALENTINE PANCAKE BREAKFAST tomorrow morning. Join the American Legion Auxiliary Post 18 in Nampa for heart shaped pancakes, bacon sausage, eggs and chocolate dipped strawberries for only $7. Breakfast is served from 8 to 11 am. Just thinking about it makes me hungry!
2. Continue the day at the GIRLS DAY OUT event at the new Galaxy Event Center at Wahooz. Admission is FREE. Enjoy a day out of the cold with over 65 exhibits including hand crafted jewelry, local sweets, home decor, apparrel and services. The event runs from 10 am to 5 pm and looks to be fun! Ladies can enjoy a day all about them and guys can pick up something perfect for the special person in their lives....and then hit laser tag! Win! Win!
3. End this magnificant day with the 25th ANNUAL DADDY DAUGHTER DATE NIGHT at the Nampa Recreation Center. The fun starts at 7:30 and will be a night full of entertainment and refreshments. Tickets are $9 (Less if you are a member of the rec center) and well worth the chance for Daddies to take their favorite little valentines on a special night!
4. If you are looking for a Valentine's Event for the whole family than I have found just what you are looking for. Wendesday evening, starting at 7 pm, the Playhouse Boise Dinner Theater is having a VALENTINE'S EVE DANCE. All ages are welcome to this evening full of music and dancing. Tickets are only $10 and all proceeds go to helping My Places Community Events throw future community events. What a great way to bring the community together!
** BucketList Adventure for this week **
To add to your BucketList Adventures this Valentine's Pre-Weekend...You will have to shed some...um....clothes? Tomorrow is CUPID'S UNDIE RUN right here in downtown Boise.
The run is a milish "Fun Run" starting at Tom Grainey's. Check in is at noon and the run takes place in the middle of a big party. It's all to help find a cure for Neurofibromatosis - a genetic disorder of the nervous system. It mainly affects how nerve cells form and grow. It causes tumors to grow on nerves producing skin and bone abnormalities showing as small lumps under the skin. Not something those affected are able to hide very well.
At Cupid's Undie Run...everyone runs in their scivies because thos affected with this disorder can't cover up their tumors to feel comfortable so the runners are uncovering to show support for discomfort you can't cover up. You can run solo or as a team to help out this amazing organization....and check something off the BucketList.
Have a great week Idaho! See you next week!
