January 25, 2019

Wow...Its hard to believe we are almost a month into the new year!  I had a great time today visiting with my friend Steve Shannon at KQFC here in Boise.  Looks like the increasingly good weather has everyone anxious to get outside and do some adventuring.  Here are a few things for this weekend to get you started!

1.  Boise Aerial and Fitness is having a Saturday Social this Saturday.  It starts at 2 pm and is a Potluck.  Bring your favorite dish!  Its FREE to mingle and only $5 to play around on the equipment.

Boise Aerial and Fitness is fitness instruction combining yoga, dance and all things aerial in a fun environment.  While you are there make sure to check into their fitness classes.  Get in shape while having a good time!  Its fun for the whole family.

2.  I am always on the lookout for things my adult kids might want to get together and try.  COMEDYSPORTZ is looking like it!  Friday and Saturday nights thru March, jump in on ComedySportz in Boise.  Its fast paced, family friendly, improvisional comedy....played as a sport!  Two teams take turns making up scenes, playing games, and singing songs...all improvised.  There is even a referee.  Contact COMEDYSPORTZ for sign up information (click on the link provided here).  Sounds like a blast!

3.  Calling all warrior princesses and brave knights....The Collister Library is having a FAIRY TALE FESTIVAL this Saturday starting at 1 pm.

It will be a fantastic day of crafts, activities and fun...you can design a sword and shield, build a fairy house, visit a cardboard castle and, of course, wear your fairy tale costume!

NOW, for all you BucketList followers......

This weekend is the kickoff for the MCCALL WINTER FESTIVAL (#103 on the BucketList).  This is their 54th year and if you've heard anything about the festival you will be anxious to get up there.

The festival is held in McCall, Idaho, only a 90 mile drive from Boise, straight up Hwy 55.  This festival is famous for it's amazing ice sculptures that people come from all over the world to visit.

Whether you go for the day or longer (the festival lasts a week), its a blast.  They have a Torchlight and a Mardi Gras Parade, live music, and daily events including comedy shows, snowbike races, and a Monster Dog Pull.  Here is a link to their schedule of events for this year.

I will be up there working on my BucketList...be sure to say hello!  Have a great week!
