January 4, 2019 - KQFC

Happy New Year Everyone!  So exciting to be back on the air with Steve Shannon and KQFC!  I can't wait to spend this year sharing BucketList Adventures with all of you!

Jumping right in.....

This weekend....

1.  It's a new year and that means IDAHO PARKS AND RECREATION is hosting another FREE Ski and Snowshow Day. This Saturday, January 5th, beginning at 8 am, use of any of Idaho Parks and Rec's PARK N SKI Locations is FREE.  This applies to all 18 locations.

Many of the parks will also be hosting additional events and activities such as FREE lessons, refreshments and rental discounts.  It's a great time to get out of the house and enjoy the refreshing mountain air as well as the snow that makes winter sports possible....and so much FUN!!

2.  If you are looking for something out of the cold weather....head over to the DISCOVERY CENTER OF IDAHO.  Every weekend (Saturday and Sunday) starting at 1 pm they will be featuring  Live Interactive Science Shows.  New shows every month!  Its a great oppportunity for the kids (and adults) to get hands on learning experiences while having a lot of FUN!

The Show is covered under the cost of admission to the Discovery Center....so there is no extra cost.  You can't beat that!

Cost of Admission to the Discovery Center are:  Under 2 Free / Youth 2-17 $10 / Adults 18+ $12 / Seniors $11 / Veterans and Military $1 OFF.

3.  If you are looking for a FREE event out of the cold weather, there will be FREE Guided Tours at the BOISE TRAIN DEPOT this Sunday at Noon and 130 pm.  The tours will be highlighting the history of the Depot and Trains in Idaho.  The Depot is pretty cool place to spend the day and if you get the chance to learn about it's history....even better!

And now let's venture onto the Idaho Bucket List..................

Now, I don't know about the rest of you, but I sure needed a wind down after a hectic holiday season.  I needed fresh mountain air, relaxation, quiet.....and maybe some of the "wine" in wind down.  Good thing I could turn to the old Bucket List of Idaho!

Yesterday my husband and I took the hour drive up Highway 21 to the SPRINGS AT IDAHO CITY.  What an absolutely fantastic way to spend a few hours....or even the whole day or evening!  They have a huge natural hot spring pool with an amazing view of the Idaho Mountains.

There are also private pools, a steam house, massages and even a cafe that serves food and drinks poolside.  Learn more about my adventure and how you can make your own Springs Adventure here.  It's a great way to relax, unwind and shake off the holiday stress!

See you next week!  Enjoy the start of 2019 and the adventures it will bring!
